Vows | Our April Wedding

A little glimpse at our beautiful wedding venue, The Foundry...

Over the past few days, Mr. V and I have been working a lot on the details for our nuptials next spring. Slowly but surely, elements are coming into place, but planning is truly a long and detailed process! We're combining a secular Western ceremony with Hindu rituals, and we're imagining an urban garden party with an exotic twist...The ironwork, brick, and snaking ivy of the venue will provide a beautiful backdrop for that evening. Truthfully, as much as I love working to create our ideal wedding, I just can't wait to get to the day where I get to marry my best friend.

Spring Style | Adapting to the Elements

For the past few weeks, the weather has been conflicted in typical spring fashion, quickly changing from warm and sunny to cool and rainy. This makes fashion choices a bit harder, as one has to be able to slip between sunshine and sudden showers without sacrificing too much style...

For me, this look perfectly personifies the style of many New Yorkers at this time of year - half sweet, with the tied blouse and red lips, and half tough, with the rolled jeans and motorcycle boots. A perfect pairing while the weather is still waffling!

Spring Forward

Just as the winds start to whistle and whip, signaling the true start to fall (my favorite season), this image makes me yearn for a bit of spring...

This look from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2012 RTW collection is so joyful. I would love to strut into an Easter dinner sporting this entire outfit! Gorgeous, no?
