Welcome 2013

New Year's Eve is finally here, in a year that has flown by more than any other I've experienced. Mr. V and I spending the evening with a few fabulous friends, sipping champagne and then heading out for dinner and drinks on the town. 

What a year it's been, and I can't wait for the upcoming one as well! Our wedding is only three and a half months away now, and we've been planning a lot over the past few weeks. Tonight will be a great celebration of an awesome few months and many more ahead of us. Happy New Year's!

Year of the Dragon

My friend Tao organized a dinner in honor of Chinese New Year on Saturday night, and a group of us merrily celebrated at a restaurant on Mott Street in Chinatown.

After our very tasty meal, we headed to Apothéke, an apothecary-themed mixology bar tucked away on tiny Doyers Street, where I took this picture. The city was quiet, and soft glow of the streetlights illuminated the remaining snow from the morning storm. Today, I read about the history of this little lane, which has quite a colorful past. In fact, Apothéke's space was once an opium den, and the bar has quite a unique atmosphere...It's worth a visit!

Glamour Galore

Happy New Year's Eve! Mr. V and I are headed off to the wedding of a good friend tonight - black tie, no less - so our New Year's will be filled with lots of love, sparkles, and champagne to toast the occasion.

2011 brought a lot of very welcome change for me. I started this blog, completed my Master's degree, and began a new job that I love. This year has been a breath of fresh air, and I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by the most wonderful friends and family through it all. I can't wait to begin the next with all the same love, support, and creativity around me.
