Spring Forward

Just as the winds start to whistle and whip, signaling the true start to fall (my favorite season), this image makes me yearn for a bit of spring...

This look from the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2012 RTW collection is so joyful. I would love to strut into an Easter dinner sporting this entire outfit! Gorgeous, no?

Playing with Purple

This room has a natural design that packs a punch - check out it's sheer size, the sky high ceilings, marble mantle, and the built-in bookshelves for a start - but the addition of the aubergine paint, curtains, couch, and pillows creates such a fresh twist on playing with monochrome.

With the large mirror, bright taupe rug, and small highlights of ikat and red, the room really feels dynamic and contemporary - despite it's unified color scheme.

Heavy Hardware

I adore the use of metal on these bags! The accent on the Chloé purse reminds me of tub hardware - so cool. And the Anndra Neen cage bag leaves your belongings a little overexposed...But it's chic nonetheless!

Dream House

It's so gorgeous....And to top it off, it's on the water! You can see the river peeking through the open front door...

It overlooks the Rappahannock River off the Chesapeake Bay in my home state of Virginia. The house is a part of Belle Isle State Park. Too bad it's not a furnished private home...I'll just have to stick with my fantasy of its interior decor!
