This room has a natural design that packs a punch - check out it's sheer size, the sky high ceilings, marble mantle, and the built-in bookshelves for a start - but the addition of the aubergine paint, curtains, couch, and pillows creates such a fresh twist on playing with monochrome.
With the large mirror, bright taupe rug, and small highlights of ikat and red, the room really feels dynamic and contemporary - despite it's unified color scheme.
